Friday 26th November 1999

Myself, Mark and Mike wandered down to the Weihemarkt to eat some curry-wursts, roasted chest nuts and to drink gluwein. We bumped into a couple of Ozzies and chatted for a while before Mike went home escorted by Mark [ since Mike's car was in the hotel underground car park ].

I went over to Bar Fusse since Tony and Richard were due to arrive. Mark turned up and met me in Bar Fusse shortly before T and R arrived. We drank beer, we talked crap and we headed over to Murphy's. Andrews ex-girlfriend whose name I have forgotten again was leaving just as we arrived :( but she came back later on :)

So we generally messed about in Murphy's drinking beer and coming up with plans to make us millionaires. I still think mine was the best but I'm not going to publish it on the web since one of you thieving gipsys will have it away with my fortune.

It was at some point in the evening, maybe at about 2am'ish, that Stan Hall got on stage and gave an impromptu gig. Stan Hall is an American guitar player/singer and is verrrrr good. He's having a party on Dec 4th but I can't go because I'll be in New York. Anyhoo - very good guitar player and it rounded off the night a treat.

Saturday 27th November 1999

Awoke bleary eyed and feeling like death. I decided that today I was gonna check out a few laptops to see what the prices were like. The bummer of the thing about buying a laptop in Germany is the keyboard is a bit mangled so instead of having "qwertyuiop" you have "qwertzuiop" which tends to mess things up a bit. The other thing that caused this trip to be a half-hearted effort was the knowledge that I'm going to the States in the near future where they are much cheaper and you don't have to hunt around the keyboard for the 'y' key.

So, needless to say, on my shopping trip I bought a slice of pizza, a load of beers and some cigarettes. Oh I should mention that Richard had accompanied me on this trip. So upon leaving the Blautal centre we jumped on a bus and were Ulm bound.

Once in Ulm we decided it was time to do some exploring and went into every pub we came across and had 1 pint. The intention was to work out which boozers were crap and which were worthy of further visits. In reality we were drunk when we arrived in Ulm and bladdered after the first 3 or 4 pubs. Consequently I [ and neither has Richard ] have got no idea about which pubs we went into and which ones were good or bad.

Still we had a good laugh. Another of the missions for the evening was to learn some new German in each pub which lead to lots of conversations with bar-people and people around us which was nice. Spoke to Vicki whilst having a pee [ the miracles of mobile communications! ] and got home at an unknown time.

Sunday 28th November 1999

Cabbaged all day reading, went for dinner about 6'ish then a couple of drinks in Captain Hooks before having an early night and some much deserved rest.

Monday 29th November 1999

Paperwork night.

Tuesday 30th November 1999

Myself, Richard, Richard and Mark went down to the rubber switchblade. Watched some poor old bloke fall of a chair and nearly smash his head to bits on a table. Myself, Richard and Mark probably went to Murphy's......but I can't guarantee it.

Wednesday 1st December 1999

Well it's now Wednesday December 15th - If you've read these journals then you'll know that there's as much chance of me remembering this day as there is of Chris becoming accepted as a normal member of society. I really still should kick his arse for the Bath incident. But you know how it is, mates before muff and all that.
